rabbits — Kittens
No sooner has the day begun
(No sooner, has the day begun…)
Before we firmly fix the end in sight,
For to be awake inside this world
Is to be on team wrong or right.
For darkness knocks loud and strong
(Many heed its call…)
Goodness. Goodness is but a whisper,
Free will the gift we cannot bear
(Truth the weight that breaks the back…)
For it causes the heart, the soul to blister.
For want and waste binds us all
(Lust for power draws us to its web)
As does the sun and sky,
And fear and pain and recklessness
Becomes the by and by.
Questions go unanswered
(Questions go unasked…)
Explanations remain ungiven,
Practice goes unchecked
Transparency further from life driven.
Thus all we do is rush with force
(rabbits — Kittens blind and deaf)
From the days start until its end,
Back turned in grave obedience
To the life we never once saw as friend.
