This thing called Life.

Happy New Year

May this be the year we learn to love as we are loved.

The year we treat one another how we ourselves want to be treated.

The year equality, justice and freedom become a reality for all people.

The year we start to care for our beautiful planet, in the same way it cares for us.

And from this day onward may we always and forever, cherish and protect…

this thing called life

This thing called Life.

Freedom is… being dressed like a beggar and feeling

like a King. It is eating the scraps that someone else threw away

and feeling blessed, sustained. It is about looking at the sky and

understanding that there is no greater roof

over our head. It is about joining in with the conversation of life,

spoken by the grass, the wind, the trees, the birds, the bees.

It is that place within our heart where we learn to

That place where dreams are crafted, visions

perceived, talents enabled, the course set. That place

where we discover that we were enough, more

than enough all along, we simply had to…believe. Freedom.

It is that mystery, that magic that lies beyond

our garden wall, beyond our fences, through our woods,

passed our limitations, down the road from our fears.

Found under our star…our star that beckons us to wander,

so we may yet be begin to breathe…begin to embrace

this thing called Life
