When Truth Becomes Legend.

when truth becomes legend

When Truth Becomes Legend.

When truth becomes legend

And legend becomes myth,

And myth become tale

And tale becomes ‘what if’.

The magic and mystery

Of life becomes bland,

And we start to forget

What we hold in our hand.

We start to forget

That there once was a way,

And a light in the darkness

That shone brighter than the brightest of day.

And hoping and dreaming

Becomes but a rhyme,

That was once in our heart

In our soul in our mind.

But now it’s a stranger

That we might have once met,

But we soon get distracted

And thus we forget.

That truth is the truth

Not legend or myth,

Not a tale you can tell

Not a passing what if.

The truth is a teacher

As old as all time,

A gift sent to guide us

From one who’s divine.

And if it stays lost

Remains unknown, a story

Then we will miss out

On mankind’s lasting glory.

And all that remains

Will be whispers at night,

And a few tiny embers

Of what once was The Light.
