In The Beginning

In the beginning a space without form,

No air, no land, no sea,

No creatures, no nature, no seasons,

No creed, no culture, no humanity.

A world without existence,

A time without the hands,

A story without a book,

A dream without any plans.

No wars, no lust for power,

No hatred, no violence,

No hunger, poverty, sickness,

No need of recompense.

No stars to light an unformed sky,

No sun, no wind, no rain,

No memories to cherish,

No history, to fail to learn, time and again.

No judgement, no betrayal,

No lack of truth, of love,

In the beginning a space without form,

And a God who dreamt that He could….
